                In June 2018, the Second Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge co-built by Anhui Road & Bridge Engineering Company – a subsidiary of ACEG professional for road and bridge engineering and construction, has been awarded the prestigious 35th International Bridge Conference (IBC) George S. Richardson Medal. The George S. Richardson Medal honors a single, recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering and it is the highest award of the international bridge conference (IBC) - George Richardson award, which was also the first time for the Company won the international award.
                 
                Founded in 1988, the George S. Richardson Medal is the earliest and most influential award of the international bridge conference and it carries out once a year and is honored as the Nobel Prize in bridge circles.
                 
                The Second Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge is an important part of "Longitudinal Line Second" in the "Four Longitudinal Lines & Eight Horizontal Lines" - Anhui Provincial Expressway Network Planning and it is an important bridge crossing the Yangtze River for Wuhu City, with a total length of about 55.5 kilometers and 13.928 kilometers crossing over the river and it is the largest highway bridge over Yangtze River in Anhui Province.

                In the construction process of the bridge, Anhui Road & Bridge Engineering Company insists on using first - class materials and first - class equipments that has resulted in first - class processes so that the first - class qualities are ensured. The project team has actively organized technology innovation activities in the construction processes and gained remarkable results. The high performance concrete has been successfully distributed, used and popularized and a series of technical difficulties have been effectively overcome such as the construction of low tower cable-stayed bridge with rib inclined web, steel tube truss girder bridge, soft subgrade PHC pipe piling and SA class hanging plate guardrail. The construction method of high anticorrosion and wear-resisting polyurea coating spraying at the saddle of cable-stayed bridge has been awarded of the construction method of 2014 for highway engineering construction method and the key technology of inverse practice construction for SA class hanging plate steel guardrail and the key technology research of large-span steel tube composite truss beam construction won the third prize of highway engineering science and technology innovation respectively.
